It is Taipei’s turn this year! We are more than pleased to invite all BU alumni and guests to the 4th BU Asian Alumni Festival in Taiwan on the 4th and 5th of November 2011 (Friday and Saturday). There is nothing more wonderful or exciting than touring the friendly and beautiful city of Taipei while building and strengthening your regional network, exploring business and investment opportunities, and mingling with new and old friends at two gala dinner banquets, with a whole day of touring in between.

Attached is the tentative event agenda as well as the registration form. Mark your calendar, fill out the registration form, and do nott miss out on this great opportunity!

This is to inform you all that the BU Welcome Reception is to be changed to Saturday 27 August between 11.00 AM until 03.00 PM. The venue remains the same at the S&P Hall, Soi Sukhumvit 26, BKK.

It was my great pleasure meeting most of you in a recent BUAATH’s AGM and Dinner Talk held on last Monday May 9 at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel. Thank you all for your contributions in making it a successful function!

• 25 advisors and committee members attended the AGM.
• Over 60 BU alumni and friends joined the Dinner Talk. A lot of senior and junior alum met up and shared their experience.
• The speech was given by Khun Areepong, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Finance and also a BU alum. It was very interesting and fruitful.
• It was then shared by few other BU alumni such as MP Panich (also a BU alum) etc.
• Good news!: 5 BU alumni signed up as new BUAATH members in that function.
• 5 television channels came by to broadcast the event: Channel 9, 11, True Visions TNN24, ASTV, and Money Channel.

Brief description of the meeting:The dinner will be held following an Annual General Meeting of BUAATH. The guest speaker’s speech will be highlighted on a Perspective of the Economy of Thailand in the second half of 2011. It is anticipated that there will be 80-100 participants in this function. Most of them will be BU alumni, their family members and a few non-BU guests.
